RAINE began with Sophie Henry, who started performing under the stage name “Raine” at a young age. After being discovered by Nashville’s Honky Tonk School, she began performing professionally on Lower Broadway at just 13 years old. Her shows included some of Nashville’s best-known venues, including Kid Rock’s and Tootsie’s. She spent those early years working alongside experienced Nashville musicians and learning how to hold a crowd through a full four-hour show.

In 2024, Sophie joined a local band with drummer Tim Bolin and bassist Brady Smith. When that group came to an end, she decided to form a band of her own. Tim and Brady joined her, along with Sophie’s friend Eric Figueroa on lead guitar. She completed the lineup by convincing her father, Lee Henry, to become the band’s second guitarist. Lee had played in the popular local band Mother of Pearl when he was younger but had been away from performing for more than 20 years.

RAINE played its first shows in 2025, performing modern rock, country favorites, older crowd-pleasers, and original music. The band also released its first single, “Do You Even Know My Name,” that summer.

Tim was an important part of RAINE’s beginning and remained with the band until 2026. When he stepped away, former Mother of Pearl drummer Matt Landers joined the lineup.

Today, RAINE consists of Sophie “Raine” Henry on lead vocals, Eric Figueroa on lead guitar, Lee Henry on guitar, Brady Smith on bass, and Matt Landers on drums. The lineup has changed a little since the band began, but the goal has stayed the same: play songs people know, put our own spin on them, and make sure everyone has a good time.

RAINE is a powerful modern rock band that not only covers hits from across the decades, but also performs unique original material that melds the members' individual influences.
